    Heat Exchangers for Aerospace and Industrial Applications

    Aerobraze Engineered Technologies, a division of Wall Colmonoy, specializes in the manufacture of new design and overhaul of Tube & Shell and Fin & Plate Type Heat Transfer Equipment for Aerospace and Industrial applications.

    In 1950, Wall Colmonoy developed high temperature furnace brazing, which is used extensively in the heat exchanger manufacturing process.

    Applications include but not limited too:

    • Micro turbine power generators
    • Aircraft cabin environmental
    • Aircraft mufflers/cabin heaters
    • Automotive Fuel Cells
    • EGR coolers

    Assemblies manufactured and overhauled to meet stringent U.S. military requirements including operation under environmentally extreme conditions from -65 to 1650°F (-54 to 900°C) and complex non-military applications. Corrosion durable assemblies resist cracking and failure over long-term use.

    Wall Colmonoy’s process capabilities for stainless steel and Inconel heat exchangers on military aircraft include in-house fin manufacturing; in-house metal stamping and forming; and in-house brazing and heat treating. Wall Colmonoy is also capable of supporting aluminum heat exchangers for commercial and military aircraft.

    Manufacture & Overhaul / Re-Core

    F-15 Heat Exchangers

    Having developed the first heat exchanger re-core procedures for the US Air Force (USAF) in the 1980s, Wall Colmonoy’s brazing and manufacturing expertise has resulted in increased efficiencies and significant cost savings in maintaining and extending the life of critical F-15 operations for the USAF.

    Over the last 15 years, Wall Colmonoy Aerobraze OKC has overhauled more than 2,000 Heat Exchangers for the USAF. The overhaul process includes 100% replacement of all tubes, replacement of any non-serviceable manifold component parts, and inspection and performance testing in accordance with USAF Technical Order.

    Since 2013 Wall Colmonoy Aerobraze OKC has manufactured nearly 500 F-15 Fin & Plate Heat Exchangers for DLA (USAF) & FMS Customers.

    F-16 Heat Exchangers

    Wall Colmonoy Aerobraze Oklahoma City overhauls and re-core F-16 Primary/Secondary Heat Exchangers. In the 1990s, Wall Colmonoy Aerobraze Oklahoma City developed the Overhaul / Re-Core process for the US Air Force (USAF).

    Capabilities include in-house manufacturing of all core details including fin material, high volume capacity for Inconel cores, and shelf stock inventory of ready-to-use replacement cores to support quick turnaround times for FMS Community. Overhaul / Re-Core pricing for FMS users available upon request.  Wall Colmonoy Aerobraze OKC is a US Air Force (USAF) Approved Contractor.
