Aerobraze OKC – Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the complete selling process, from prospecting and opportunity development, through inquiry to quoting, to order acceptance and final product shipment. Individual in this position will work in conjunction with shop personnel to ensure customer requirements for on-time delivery are communicated and met.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for increasing sales volume with present customers and for prospecting and developing new customers
  • Initiate and coordinate sales action plans to penetrate new markets and new business opportunities.  Develop new customer relationships to grow the Nicrocraft Aircraft Exhaust and Aircraft Components business segments
  • Work directly with the site General Manager and Engineering Manager as well as cross-functionally, to assess current requirements and to target new business potential, primarily in the aircraft exhaust and aircraft components market  segments
  • Establish the sales strategy and support tools required to deliver against current business and target new business opportunities
  • Track progress in pursuit of all new business using established metrics.  Monitor and report performance as related to the business plan monthly to the Site General Manager
  • Reviews customer inquiries and prepares quotations
  • Advises customers of pricing and delivery information
  • Enters sales orders in the business system
  • Assists with scheduling of orders
  • Reviews cost information on orders for accuracy
  • Maintains quotation tracking log and follow up with customers
  • Assists with the collection process


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Sales and/or Business Development role for a manufacturing company, aircraft parts distributor, and/or FAA Repair Station.
  • Proven performance within the aviation industry
  • Strong business development, marketing, sales, program management and account management skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal/ leadership/ management skills – positive, proactive and professional
  • Advance decision making and computer skills
  • Confident and professional manner
  • Must be able to multi task (a wide variety of duties)
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong math and written skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with aircraft exhaust systems highly desirable
  • Experience with Fixed Based Operators (FBOs) highly desirable
