Robert Davies

Robert Davies
Managing Director

Robert Davies joined Wall Colmonoy Limited in March 2015, bringing with him 14 years of experience in strategic, operational and engineering management. He has worked predominantly in the automotive industry with over 5 years P&L responsibility as Plant Manager. His experience covers assembly, precision machining and extrusion processes for safety critical steering systems, engine and seating components.

Rob’s strategy for the European Business is focused on growing both organically and reaching into new markets through innovative product solutions and business acquisitions. Rob is driving the business forward, by leveraging a well-established and very experienced workforce, whilst coupling strategic recruitment to focus on new opportunities and growth. He will continue to drive the organisation to provide excellent customer experience, customised engineered solutions, high product quality and a safe working culture.

Robert states, “I am highly motivated to extend my responsibilities within Wall Colmonoy and the opportunity to take the business to new levels of growth and technical advancement. The landscape of manufacturing is changing daily and our team is ready, we have the drive, the knowledge and the backing to thrive – we certainly will make our metals work harder”.

Commencing his career as a toolmaking apprentice, Robert graduated with a BSc in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Glamorgan. Robert is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, a change agent with a proven track record of implementing Lean manufacturing practices across all departments and all levels within manufacturing businesses.


Nathan Stroud

Nathan Stroud
Commercial Director

Nathan joined Wall Colmonoy in February 2013 as Distribution Channel Manager and has taken on ever-expanding roles and responsibilities. In November 2013, he assumed the position of Sales Manager and in October 2014 Nathan joined the senior management team and took on the full duties and responsibilities of Commercial Manager.

Nathan brings with him over 25 years’ experience in Customer Account Management with vast knowledge and experience in Business procurement, global sourcing, purchasing and material management. His extensive management experience comes from his time working at Large Blue Chip companies such as Mitsubishi, where he worked for 12 years in a Managerial role, Hewlett Packard for 12 years where he worked in a Senior Managerial role and TVonics Solutions for 18 months where he worked in an Account Director’s role.

Promoted to Commercial Director in 2015, Nathan is responsible for all Commercial aspects for Wall Colmonoy Limited including sales, key account management, customer service, estimating, planning, and contracts. “I am very excited and privileged to be given the opportunity to manage the Commercial department at Wall Colmonoy, Pontardawe, Swansea. There are tremendous business development opportunities to be exploited in our European & International markets. I am very excited about leading the Customer service and External Sales team to even greater success”, states Nathan.

Nathan graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Glamorgan.


Chris Weirman
Technical Director

Chris joined Wall Colmonoy Limited in July 2019, bringing with him over 25 years’ experience in Chemistry, Materials Science and Manufacturing.  He has a strong background in product and technology Research & Development.

Chris will head the technical function at Wall Colmonoy Limited (UK) as the company looks to new technologies to drive its growth objectives.  He will lead a high-performance technical team who support customers with material selection, innovative alloy development and practical experience of key manufacturing processes.  Chris states, “I am really excited about my role at Wall Colmonoy, its future growth plans and the technology developments we can bring to the marketplace and to our customers.”

Before joining Wall Colmonoy, Chris helped lead the SPECIFIC project for Swansea University where he developed next-generation coatings for the construction industry to assist in changing the energy requirements for future building projects. Prior to that, Chris held several senior positions at Tata Steel Europe and Calsonic Llanelli Radiators. Chris holds a BSc (Hons) Chemistry with Analytical Science and a Doctorate of Engineering, Materials Science. He has also achieved ProfGrad MIMMM and IOSH/NEBOSH.


Mark Davies
Finance Director

Mark Davies joined Wall Colmonoy Limited in January 2019, bringing with him 23 years’ experience in financial control.

Mark began his career with multinational conglomerate, Hitachi and later joined Georgia Pacific, a paper manufacturing company. While at Georgia Pacific, Mark’s roles changed from Management Accountant to Financial Controller before finally becoming Regional Controller for the UK, Ireland and Spain, covering 7 manufacturing facilities. For the last 6 years, Mark has been Financial Controller at Pullmaflex UK Ltd, a manufacturer of Car seat and suspension parts.

Mark notes “I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to work with a well-established and prestigious company such as Wall Colmonoy.

I look forward to further develop practices and processes at Wall Colmonoy to help advance the efficiencies and effectiveness, to drive growth, success and further profitability to achieve the Company’s long term strategic aims.”

Mark graduated from the University of Glamorgan with a 1st class BA (Hons) in Business Studies and is a member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, ACMA, CGMA.


Leyton Russ

Leyton Russ
Health, Safety and Maintenance Manager

Leyton Russ joined Wall Colmonoy Limited in November 2014, bringing with him 26 years of experience from the Steel Industry in Maintenance and Health and Safety functions, including over 10 years in managerial positions.

Leyton’s strategy for Wall Colmonoy is focused on the health, safety and welfare of our employees and minimising our impact on the environment. Leyton is leading the campaign towards achieving a zero accident and zero harm culture by the engagement of our employees and modifying behaviour. Leyton has also established a very effective maintenance and engineering team that is improving plant up time and reliability and delivery major plant improvements projects.

Leyton has an MA in Professional Practice from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.


Julie Wright

Julie Wright
Human Resources Manager

Julie Wright joined Wall Colmonoy Limited with 20 years’ experience working with senior managers to ensure the development and building of strong, focused teams from recruitment, retention, training, development and robust performance management. Julie brings experience from Financial Services, Global Engineering companies and Further Education Colleges.

Julie obtained a BA (Hons) 2:1 in Business at the University of Wales College, Cardiff and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development MCIPD.

At Wall Colmonoy, Julie carries out the strategic vision and upholds the core values through hands-on leadership, coaching and support for all levels of employees within the business. Her personable approach, resilience and the ability to transfer strategic plans into tangible operational deliverables has been key to supporting the transformational change management programmes.

Julie values the organic growth and development of individual’s within organisations and aims to support and encourage all employees to meet their full potential.
