    WALLEX®

Wallex® cobalt-based hardfacing alloys have excellent wear and corrosion resistance and can withstand elevated temperatures. Our Wallex® range of alloys:

    Wallex® 1 (Download TDS)
A cobalt-based alloy with excellent abrasion and high-temp corrosion resistance. Good corrosion resistance and low coefficient of friction gives good metal on metal wear protection (low impact). Applications include bushings, knives, cams, seal-rings, wear pads.

    Wallex® 6 (Download TDS)
A cobalt-based alloy with excellent resistance to erosion and cavitation. This versatile hardfacing alloy’s uses include for hot shear knives and blades, hot trim dies, pump shafts and bearings, erosion shields, heat shields, valve seats, plugs, stem guides, and gates.

    Wallex® 12 (Download TDS)
A cobalt-based alloy having high heat and corrosion resistance with excellent wear and abrasion resistance. Wallex® 12 is a good choice for abrasive wear under high heat and corrosive conditions. Proven applications include cutting edges of blades in textile and carpet industries, saw tips in the timber industry, engine valves.

    Wallex® 21 (Download TDS)
A cobalt-based moderate hardness alloy with excellent high temperature properties. A cobalt-chromium-molybdenum based alloy with excellent high temperature properties. Combined resistance to galling, cavitation, erosion and corrosion with toughness and work hardening properties.

    Wallex® 40 Alloys (Download TDS)
Self-fluxing cobalt-based hard-surfacing alloy powder with high corrosion and impact resistance. Wallex® 40 is a sprayable alternative to Wallex® 6, having the self-fluxing attribute which enables coatings to be fused, even in air. It is a good hard-surfacing choice where chemical or atmospheric corrosion is accompanied by metal on metal wear and/or impact.

    Wallex® 42 Alloys (Download TDS)
Self-fluxing cobalt-based hard-surfacing alloy powder with high corrosion and impact resistance. Wallex® 42 alloys include 42SA, 42M, and 42H. They are softer than Wallex® 50, therefore giving it better impact resistance. The alloys have excellent red hardness and superior wettability. They are a good hard surfacing choice in situations where the hazard of chemical or atmospheric corrosion is accompanied by metal-to-metal wear and/or impact. Wallex® 42 alloys are non-toxic and non forgeable.

Wallex® 50 Alloys (Download TDS USA | UK)
A cobalt-based hard-surfacing alloy powder with high corrosion and impact resistance. Wallex® 50 is a self-fluxing, sprayable cobalt alloy powder with excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance. It is considered a suitable alternative to Wallex® 1.

    Wallex® 55 & 505 (Download TDS USA | UK)
Cobalt-based composite hard-surfacing alloys with high abrasion and corrosion resistance. Wallex® 50 and Wallex® 505 have been successful in lowering replacement costs on many different parts including: shaft sleeves, pump components, bushings, buffing fixtures, cutting tool chip breakers and high temperature, un-lubricated sleeve bearings operating in liquid sodium, liquid potassium and NaK.

    Wallex® F and 32 (Download TDS)
Cobalt based hard-surfacing alloy designed for hardfacing valve components. Wallex® F and Wallex® 32 has been designed specifically for the hardfacing of internal combustion engine valves to give enhanced resistance to corrosion and erosion. Slightly higher hardness and fluidity than Wallex® 6, Wallex® F and Wallex® 32 offer good resistance to wear and oxidation.
