For 80 years, Wall Colmonoy has been a global leader in the manufacture and application of surfacing powders. Wall Colmonoy’s standard and custom range of COLMONOY® and WALLEX™ surfacing alloys have outstanding metallurgical and physical properties making them ideally suited to solving engineering problems such as Wear, Corrosion, Erosion and Abrasion.
COLMONOY®, the original nickel-based hardsurfacing alloy, was developed in the 1930s for application on downhole drill bits for the oil industry. During World War II, COLMONOY® alloys extended the life-span of arrestor hooks, tank grousers, tread and drive sprockets on U.S. Army tanks. Today, it has applications in a variety of industries from Oil & Gas, Glass Container, Rubber & Plastics, Power Generation, Steel, and Food Processing.
